Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico
it was 1 am and a man came to mine and my fiance's house with a knife and started to argue with him he pulled out the knife and my fiance took it and stabbed him once and he died would there be a chance for a self defense case. cause they want to charge him with second degree murder???

A person is legally permitted to use reasonable force to protect him/her self or another. If the facts support the scene you present, undoubtedly your fiance's attorney will discuss self-defense as a complete or partial resolution of any criminal charges.
