Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico
Accussed of a burglary
I was brought in on questioning for a vandalism case at an ex employer and the owner says that I have a motive cause he fired my girlfriend the same day i quit. In addition a computer technition who does alot of business with the owner told ivestigators that I was the only one able to pull off this crime. Knowing all of this is there any probable cause for an arrest or trial?

Re: Accussed of a burglary
Motive is not a legal concept used in formal proceedings. Hearsay opinion from a person not involved or a witness to the crime is not useful. What you have described will not form the basis for a warrant for arrest. What you said in your statement may.
