in a criminal case what does filing demand for notice of intention to claim alibi and/or entrapment mean

It means if the one charged with a crime is going to present a defense of alibi or entrapment, then the particulars of those defenses must be presented to the prosecution well before trial to give the DA time to investigate. Required under the Rules of Criminal Procedure. Failure to comply may mean that the defenses are unavailable at trial.
