It is difficult to say how your present problem will be dealt with by the court. If you have an extensive history of calls to the police for DV, it could mean a strict probation with counseling. There is no question that you and your husband could benefit greatly from counseling, and you may wish to consider getting into a program before going to court. That could save you being assigned to a program not of your choosing. DV is taken seriously, particularly as an ongoing situation as you present, and you can expect some serious intrusion by the system as a repeat offender. Check out some counseling and good luck.
