Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico

First-time Offender, battery on a household member, scared!

I rarely drink, maybe once a month. That being said, I was rather drunk one night and ended up getting into a fight with my brother (whom I live with). My mother called the police and I was placed under arrest for battery on a household member. I was released on OR until my court date under a few stipulations which are of no consequence to me. My question is, being that this is the first time I have ever been arrested, what are my chances of not having to go back to jail? I've started my anger management classes (As ordered) and I've also signed up for some additional therapy. (I think I need it) And I've also signed up for my G.E.D. Hrm, any thoughts?

If you have no prior criminal history, and no prior complaints of domestic violence on file with the police department, you are unlikely to receive jail time. Probation is your most likely sentence, with conditions.
