grand jury indictment

i have recieved a target letter saying that there will be a grand jury hearing to see about indicting me on july 13. i

would like to know if i should attend this hearing to try and defend myself.

Get a lawyer immediately. Call the public defender in Santa Fe (505-827-3900) if you can't afford one. Do it NOW.

If it is a federal matter, call the federal PD in Albuquerque immediately

It is not a good idea to go before the Grand Jury. Exercise your right to remain silent - it is a good time for it. Consult a criminal lawyer in your town. You need representation. Initial consultations/case evaluations are usually done at no cost. Ask first.
