Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico
I plead to 5 charges out of 28 other charges. I was put on probation for 5 yrs. as my sentence. Part of my conditions is to pay restitution, however, probation is making me pay restitution for charges that were droped that i did not plea. I was told i need to put in for a restitution hearing, but before i do that: Is there a mistake in my case??

It depends upon the Judgment and Sentence you were given, and the conditions of probation. If it is not clear from those documents whether or not you are required to pay restitution for charges dismissed [and such is frequently the case], then you need clarification from the judge. No one can tell what the requirements are without reading the documents mentioned, or getting a hearing if the issue is not clear.
