Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico
property settlement
My exhusband was just convicted of murder for hire (of me). We have a bifucated divorce settlement. He has refused all prop. settlement offers. Does his feloneous status change his rights under joint-tenancy? Can I sell the properties w/o his permission/signature? Do I have to hold his portion in escrow?

Re: property settlement
If you can't reach agreement with him about the community property, you need a Judge to make the division and provide you with the proper Order. His ownership status of your community property has not changed with his conviction.
