can prostecition for jail time be adressed by the victims attorney in a criminal domestic violation case

Interested parties are entitled to speak at sentencing in DV cases, and one may appear through an attorney if one wishes. Usually a victim speaking in person against jail time and giving valid reasons is the most effective way to assist a DV defendant.
