stipulated restraining order

i have a temp. restraining order against someone and have to appear in court in a few days to have the case heard. the person who i have it agains has an attorney and the attorney asked me to sign a Stipulated Restraining Order and not go to court. What do i do?

If you fear this person you are well-advised to go through a hearing and make a record of your concerns if something should occur later. A Restraining Order will not prevent an unbalanced or very angry person from doing something inappropriate. It boils down to a matter of your trust of the person against whom you have the Order.
