Re: Theft

You have been banned from entering the store. If you go back into that store you can be arrested and prosecuted for trespassing. If you do not, it is possible, although not guaranteed, that the matter will go no further. Normally one would expect to receive a citation for shoplifting on the spot if law enforcement intended to prosecute. The fact that you did not is not a guarantee that it will not be done later, but is certainly an indication that law enforcement may have felt at the time that you being excluded from the store was punishment enough. Learn the lesson that you have been given. Stealing is legally and morally wrong, and can result in serious negative consequences to those who don't understand that.
