Re: time frame for sentencing?please answer asap

It often takes 90 days for a Presentence Report to be prepared in a criminal case, and then time to get on the court's docket for sentencing. However, 5 months seems excessive. Call the NM State Bar in Albuquerque and ask for an ombudsman to help you with your lawyer. It is inexcusable that s/he does not return your calls when your son is incarcerated for such a length of time. You are entitled to know what is happening. The Bar Association will help you out. Good luck.
