transfering a probabtion sentence

I am a 20 year old living in Rio Rancho, NM and I was caught shoplifting over a year ago; the amount was over $500, making it a 3rd degree felony. So now I am on probation until may of next year called the pre prosecution program and if i complete it the charges will be dropped (by doing community service, paying fees, etc) but iam trying to find out what the chances are that i can transfer the probation sentence to santa barbara, CA so i can go to college there under the same agreements but in CA. I am willing to pay any fees there are to do this.

If CA agrees, you can go on the interstate Compact on Probation and Parole. Ask your PO about the procedures for application.
