unsecured credit card debt

Can a judge order a policeman to your home to collect credit card debt and tell you that if you don't pay they will take something of value from you.

Yes, but it is legal only if there has been a civil Judgment entered against you and the proper steps have been taken to collect that Judgment, which includes advising you of the exemptions which apply and other legal rights you may have. Such collections normally do not involve policemen, but rather deputy sheriffs.
