will a pending felony charge show up on a fingerprint check for employment

Probably not, unless prospective employer is a law enforcement or government agency, or the military. A background check, however, may well reveal the pending charges, as fingerprints are not required to obtain arrests and pending court actions. They are public records and available to anyone who looks for them.
