If you suspect an adult is being abused, exploited, or neglected, make a report to Adult Protective Services Statewide Intake toll free in New Mexico at 866-654-3219, or 505-476-4912 in Santa Fe or outside New Mexico.

Also, filing for a Conservatorship/Guardianship would be an excellent idea in addition to the first answer, as such will prevent the depletion of her assets.
