Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

It's been 9 months since my divoce has been final...I left some of my personal possessions behind since I didn't have a place to keep them. Now I have a house of my own and want to get them, but my ex refuses. What can I do? Can I just go get them while he is at work?

If your possessions are listed in your Marital Settlement Agreement or your Divorce Decree, then call the Bernalillo Sheriff's Office and they will send an officer with you to pick up your things. It is not a good idea for you to go into his house without his knowledge and consent, even if you still have a key.
