Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

I want to adopt my boyfriend's son. Bio-mom is on the streets and has not made contact in over 2 years. What do I need to do?

The adoption statute is in the Children's Code in the NM Statutes Annotated. I would urge you to go to your local library or look online and see if you can find the children's code for NM. Once there you can read what the law says about an adoption such as the one you are considering.
