Child custody

What happens if I share custody with my daughter's father and I am going to jail for 3 yrs. Can he just go pick up my daughter and keep her until I get out of jail?

Of course. You are not required to pay child support while in jail.

If you wish another result you will need to go to court to modify the court order. Unless he is a danger to her, he would have the right to custody. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
