Re: My Child support

My understanding of the policy at child support enforcement (CSED) is that if they are doing a wage withholding they will not take your license. You stated that they have been "taking" $349.00 from your check and that sounds like wage withholding. I would suggest you go see the case worker assigned to your case at your earliest possible time and sit down and review the policy of CSED with the case worker. If the case worker cannot solve your problem then ask to meet with that person's supervisor and if that person cannot help then ask for the supervisor above that person. As I stated - they have a policy and my understanding is that they follow it. It sounds like in your case there may have been some glitch. If you meet with the case worker assigned to your case you may be able to clear up the problem.

Also, you can borrow money from a lending institution or from a family member.

I am aware that there are some cases where the custodial parent agrees to "forgive" 2 or 3 months payments and thus reporting to CSED that you have met the policy requirement of making the 2 or 3 payments they are asking for. The CSED case worker will not perform this negotiation for you. This will require some negotiation on your part but it is a bit more common than you might otherwise think.

Good Luck
