Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

child visitation

My ex husband and I have joint custody of my daughter, he being the prime custodial parent, but he has been living out of the country for almost 4 years. He has disregarded our divorce agreement in everyway. He is only supposed to travel out of the country with her for 3 months During this 4 year period, I have not been able to see her and have been threatened that he will will just not answer the phone. I feel my hands are tied. I don't have 100,00 pounds to fight him in England. He is coming to California in 2 days to see his brothers. My question is - is there anything I can do to stop him from leaving the country with my daughter again. I can't play his games anymore and it hurts my heart in the deepest way missing so much of her life. Please help. Thank you.

Re: child visitation

You should get a lawyer right away. Depending on the details of your parenting plan, you may be able to get a restraining order stopping him from removing the child from the country. This is tricky because he'll be in California. Bring money.
