Immediate divorce , settlement later
Is it true that in the state of NM you can request that the divorce be granted on the 31st day after filing and the settlements worked out at a later date?

Yes, you can ask that the divorce be granted prior to final settlement of the other issues; but it is up to the judge. If both parties agree, the Court would most likely accept the parties agreement
