Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

My Ex's attorney provided a letter to him stating he had paid the bill in full (even though he hasn't and he admitted he hasn't) but with that letter the judge says I have to pay him half of the amount. Is there anyway to make the lawyer or him show receipts for the payments?

If you told the judge that and he ordered you to pay it anyway, then you have to pay it. If you learned about that after the hearing, you could ask the judge for a new hearing (within 30 days) and argue to him that the bill is a sham, that he faked it in order to get you to pay the whole bill. If the judge saw the bill and found that it was reasonable you're stuck, you'll have to pay whether he pays his share or not.
