Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

Me and the father of my children have split up and we were never married. He wants to see the children and i have no complaints with that. He is more than welcome to see them anytime he would like. I moved from Oklahoma to new Mexico because all of my family lives there. He wants to children to come see him but i am worried that if i do take them to him and not stay that he may say i abandoned them. What papers do i need to file or would he be able to get away with that.

You need an agreement with the specifics of when the children will go to OK (exact date/time), when and how they will be returned to you (exact date/time), and all the details of what they will do while they are there. You still take the chance that he will not return them and you will have to go to OK and go to court to get them back, as such documents are only as good as the people who sign them.
