Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

My girlfriend and her 12 year old son live with me in my house. Her son has started fires numerous times inside his bedroom and bathroom. His mother never does anything to him when this happens. What actions can I take? He also threatens to physically harm me and my girlfriend.

It seems that (a) you should call the police to report the fires; (b) you should call the child abuse and neglect hot line to report the child and the mother who seem to be out of control; and (3) you should ask the mother to move her and her son out of your house. You may also want to consider invoking the court powers under the domestic violence act since the child has threatened you.
