illegal child support

can a judge order child support from illegal income?

The law addressing child support says something to the effect of "income from any source" except a list of certain sources. As far as I know, "illegal income" is not an exempted source for determining and establishment of child support.

A judge can order child support from any available income but if the income is illegal there may be more problems for both of you. If the judge becones aware of illegal activity he may refer the case over to the District Attorney for prosecution and if the spouse is in jail he may not be able to pay any child support.
