If I have joint custody in the state of NM can I make my child's father put my child in counseling?

You both have to agree. You could go to the MD who should be specified in your parenting plan describe the problem and see if he will order counselling. If you can't agree and the MD won't require it then you file a motion asking the court for a ruling. Depending on what district you're in the Judge will likely appoint a mediator or priority consultant to make a recomendation. Lots of parenting plans have counsellors specified in the plan along with MD, schools, churches, etc.
