Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico
Well a male and a woman were going to wed but the male canceled it. Who is obligated to pay the fee's for the wedding that the woman picked out?

This is not really a family law question. Just generally, under contract law, whoever signed any contracts with suppliers would be liable to the supplier. The supplier doesn't have to get involved with the background stuff, only has to proceed against who's in front of him and signing. If she signed and he did not, the woman would be liable and then could in theory have a claim against the rat who backed out because she relied on whatever assurances he gave her about payment. By my standards, that would be the moral argument as well. Hard to say how a judge might look at it, though.
