Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

property

My husband of 5 months decided to leave our marriage in search of freedom. He has since advised me by telephone that he is going to send me papers to sign for an uncontested divorce. He also advised me that he wants me to sign a promissary note for ( I'm assuming half) his share of the recreational vehicle that we purchased together before we were married. I work in the highway construction field and am required to travel on a regular basis, therefore it is the only home I have. I might add that my husband has not been employed since June,2003 and I was paying RV Space car,truck and trailer insurance, food, and entertainment expenses until early November, 2003 when he decided to leave. I never asked or told him to leave.

While you provided a lot of background material you did not as the Guru a question. I could assume one of two questions as regarding your reference to the RV. (1) He wants to keep the RV and wants you to pay for part of it; or (2) you want to Keep the RV and pay for it. Maybe there is a third alternative I did not think of yet. Each of those questions above will get a different answer. Please send a reply back with a clear question and I will send a response.
