Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

I would like to seek child support and back pay for my 16 year old son. His father left when he was a year and a half and has never bothered to help financially or in any other way. He lives in colorado and I'm in new mexico. I cannot afford to hire a lawyer, I'm unable to work anymore and am in the process of filing for social security. I tried going through the Human services child support enforcement agency several times with no luck. What can I do to get this process started?

Getting help from Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) is not a matter of "LUCK". If your child is receiving medicaid or any form of public assistance CSED has to help you. Your first step is to go and speak with the office manager in the town where your CSED case is located; if you do not get help there then you can call the governor's office and ask for her assistance. You will get help to get the child support established and moving.

Good Luck
