In the state of New Mexico, can we share a lawyer to reduce the cost of the divorce

The short answer is NO! However, you can hire a lawyer to help draft documents, at your direction, and without that lawyer representing the other party. Thus, it is not 'sharing' the lawyer; but, it is a negotiated settlement with the attorney following the directions of one party - presumably, after the parties have worked cooperatively to settle their relationship.
