Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

supervised visitation

i am divorced and havent been allowed to see my children since 2002. i was charged and subsequently plead no contest in the misdemeanor case which gave rise to the separation from my children.... i successfully completed the two-year probation period imposed and would like to pursue supervised visitation with my children so that can become reaquainted with them without the fear of another criminal situation.. i am in desperate need of guidance and representation and just need help getting the process started.

Re: supervised visitation

You don't say what kind of order is preventing you from seeing your children. I presume the judge entered an order, so you can file a motion asking the court to modify the order. You will have to serve a copy of the motion on the other party (your ex). Call Law Access New Mexico for some telephone advice and possible help drafting the motion, I can't give you their number here.
