Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Mexico

There is an automobile that is titled to my wife or her ex-husband. He has possession of the vehicle and we want her name off the title but he has not cooperated in meeting at DMW to re-title the vehicle in his name. We have the copy of the title.

Your wife should be able to go to MVD, explain that she has lost the title, ask for a new title to be made and since it is "or" she can ask that they change the title to the other person's name only and then send to him the title. Problem solved.
