automotive lein contracts
I placed my car in pawn.Before the pawn date was up my brother in law payed the pawn and the car was released to him without my consent or being present. now he refuses to release the car back to me or pay me asking price of the car can he do this?

The pawn shop may have liability for releasing your vehicle to someone unauthorized, unless your B-I-L had the pawn ticket. He may be entitled to his money back, but he is not entitled to keep the vehicle. Small claims court in Metropolitan Court are where these matters are usually resolved.
