Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Mexico
I am a college student who performed some landscape work for my boss at his personal residence, the company i worked for was not involved in landscaping. The work I performed at his home was agreed upon and completed, there was a small leak in the drip line, which leaked for several days due to a faulty valve (which i did not install), needless to say he is now suing me for professional negligence, breach of contract, and defective services, this also happened one year and a half ago and he has never attempted to make any sort of contact with me. He knew I was just a college student, I never complained to be a licensed landscaper, nor a professional, my net profit was about $73.00 and he is suing me for $9,995.95, for damage to the pad of his house, which he says has created other problems within his home. Does he have a case?
