Verbal contracts

I worked for a state agency for 4 months on a verbal

contract and was paid as agreed. I was refused

payment for a fifth months work even though I was

asked to do work during that month. They are refusing

to pay me, claiming I was a volunteer. What is the

Verbal contracts are generally enforceable but usually unproveable with the type/quality proof the courtroom requires. Your best bet is negotiation, failing which offer arbitration.
