Civil law suit

How difficult is it to file a civil suit against an employer who knowingly and without conscience hires a person to do a job in another area, for instance in new mexico when the employee lives in florida, and when the employee arrives on the job they find that the job offered is not the actual job at all, or the actual pay is less than half offered and if they dont like it they can go back at their own expense.
