Employment Reference
If I terminated an employee for assault, and his new potential employer calls me for a reference, what am I legally allowed to tell them?

Re: Employment Reference
Under Florida law, you are entitled to provide any reference so long as you do not provide "knowingly false" information to the prospective employer. However, New Mexico law may be different, so you should consult an attorney in New Mexico if this involves a workplace in New Mexico.
