Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Mexico
Apartment problem
My apartmentwas robbed. There was no forced entry. The police officer said that there had been 10 robberies in the 500 unit complex in the last month, all of them no forced entry. The management has a master key. Recently, there had been a major maintenance project where many contractors had access to the master key. The police had told the management that someone with a key was breaking in. The management did not give any warning to the tenants that this was going on. today we got a notice that they would be doing a routine lock change. I feel that the complex has some liability for the robbery of my unit. Do I have a case?management knew that the the robberies were allrobberie
