Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Mexico
My friend sold his truck. He signed the title over to the new owner. Before the new owner had the truck registered in his name, he hit a power transformer. Who is responsible for the damages?

Legally, the new owner is responsible. But the old owner will face a claim for the damages.
OLD OWNER MUST NOTIFY HIS INSURANCE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY.
