Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Mexico

I am heavily tattooed and have a neuromuscular disease with a high morbidity rate. So my friend has asked if he can preserve my tattoos after I die. I was wondering what I would have to do to legally give him permission to do this.

Give him a written, notarized directive advising him of your wishes and authorizing him to carry them out. There may be a basketful of legal problems concerning removing biological materials from the human body, so one should check with a funeral home concerning the procedures you are addressing at this time. It may be that what you are suggesting cannot be legally done.
