Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Mexico

My house was built on the property line in the 60's. The neighbors house is on the right side of my house and there is at least 15 feet between the houses. Their house is empty, no one lives in it. I would like to put in a window air conditioner on that side of my house. Do I have that right or can the neighbor stop me?

You do not have the legal right to trespass on adjacent property whether in the air or on the ground. It seems you have two options: put the unit in and hope the neighbor doesn't complain, or get the neighbor's permission.
