Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Mexico

landlord changed locks on me and kept all of my personal belongings because I had late fees that had not been paid. He refused to let me in and refuses to give me my property. No notice was given to me at all regarding eviction. The copy of the lease is in the apt. What should zi do?

File suit in small claims court. That is Metro Court in Albuquerque, and Magistrate Court in all other counties. They will provide the forms, but not legal advice. No lawyers are required.
