Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Mexico
real estate contract
I purchased a condo on a real estate contract. I did several improvements on the property, upgrading the value. I lost my job and had to default on contract. Am I entitled to any compensation for the upgrades I did?

Re: real estate contract
If the upgrades are attached to the property in a significant way, the unfortunate answer is "no." You may have options other than just walking away, however, if you haven't missed too many payments, you have a substantial investment in the property, and you are able to resume making payments in the very near future.
