How long do I have to wait?

I was in an accident about a week go. I was parked and another driver backed into my car. My doors won't close all the way and I don't have another car. I asked her insurance for a rental car. Her insurance says they have 30 days to determine liability. Is this true?

No, it's not true, but there isn't much you can do about it. You are entitled to a rental car for the reasonable period of time it takes to put yours back on the road. However, if you want one now you may have to rent it yourself and collect from them later.
