Estate property abandonment

What is the proceedure for abandoning estate property (real estate) in NM?

The property is not valuable enough to start and pay for ancillary estate administration proceedings in NM.

If you do nothing, eventually it will be sold for unpaid taxes.

Have you considered New Mexico's informal probate procedure for problems such as this? It could be that you can accomplish ownership transfer through informal probate for a reasonable fee. You could contact the New Mexico Bar Association for a list of probate courts/judges who may be able to assist you.
