Inherited property payoff
My sisters and I inherited my mom's property , 1971 mobilehome and 1/4 acre land . I cannot get a loan and do not have the cash to pay them off. I am making the current payments and have offered them payments with interest but they want cash . I have been liveing in the home with my family for many years. Can they force me out or will they have to accept payments?

Re: Inherited property payoff
I assume from your question that the property is mortgaged. If so, your sisters are responsible for their share of the payments, and they owe you however much you have paid since your mother passed. If the payments are $100 per month and there are 4 sisters, each owes $25.00 per month. If one has paid for 6 months, the others owe her $450.00. Figure out how much you are owed, and explain that you will not move until you are paid. Were the property to be sold each sister would owe her share of the mortgage which would be deducted from the sales price. Email us if you need more information.
