Power of Attorney

Under New Mexico Law, does a power of attorney for health care reasons have to be filed with the State somewhere and does it have to be notorized in order to be valid?

It does not have to be filed with the state, but it must be notarized. It is also a good idea to file it with the County Clerk in the county in which the maker lives, but it is not required.
