Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Mexico

My uncle is very old and has made my dad the executor of his will. His wife passed away a long time and he remarried to a lady who had been married more than 6 times and appears to have been making changes to his will. My uncle is a millionaire and owns a lot of property and since my uncle has no kids he wished to leave some of his earnings/possessions in our family name. My dad has asked my uncle if he could have a copy to which my uncle said yes. The lawyer used to write the will is my aunt's lawyer who she has used in her previous marriages and he will not give my dad a copy of the will. My uncle has stated in person several things he wants my father to have, however my uncle cannot read nor write thus he only is told what it says. My uncles health has been suffering and my aunt lied about him having a phone in his hospital room to which we called her bluff by calling the hospital and asking to talk to him. She seems to be doing the same things as she did with her other husbands by putting them in a nursing home until they pass on, My uncle resides in New Mexico. What would be the best thing for my father to do to ensure my uncle's will has not been changed and for him to get a copy my uncle said he may have.

Check with a lawyer about Guardian and Conservatorship proceedings in NM. That is how people in your uncle's position are protected from financial predators.
