Re: misdemeanor punishments
You may not have to plead guilty to a misdemeanor; you may be offered a plea bargain, in which you plead guilty to lesser offense for some lower penalty/fine/community service.
If convicted after trial, or if you plead guilty to a misdemeanor, the sentence could be no jail/ probation/ up to a year in jail / fine or any combination. Much depends on your prior criminal case history (whether you have a criminal record).

The punishment run can be a fine, 3 years probation or one year in jail. You can also get a combination of Jail, probation and a fine. Alot depends on you past criminal history. Contact me for assistance
Re: misdemeanor punishments
You could be facing up to a year incarceration or three years probation. If this is your first arrest you could end up pleading to a lesser charge and get no jail time or probation. If you take the case to trial you may receieve a stiffer sentence if convicted, but it would not be more than 1 year (if you win at trial the case is over).
